This 4 mile road race is coming up this evening in Dromcollogher in south Co.Limerick at 8pm. It was started way back in the running boom of the late 70s/early 80's and has survived through the lean years albeit with small numbers. They hope to get bigger numbers this year as it is now the 3rd race of 8 in the Ballyhoura Active series.
With the local festival going on at the same time, there should be a special atmosphere for this 4 mile race in the town and is likely to attract runners from a wide catchment area, especially those in the North Cork area.
More details with some of the history of the event on the Running in Munster website.
