New Outdoor Gym for Tramore Valley Park..

For the last few years, there have been many false promises of the opening of the Tramore Valley Park in Cork City. This time around however, it looks like the real deal.

Cork City Council are busy widening roads in and out of the park and they have just installed an outdoor gym which is shown above being constructed.

According to the Council, they are still on track for a mid-May opening.

As for the return of the 5k parkrun??? I'd guess the dust will have to settle on the opening first and they'll see how busy it is normally on a Saturday morning. If it does make a return, the numbers shouldn't be as high as they were in the past as Ballincollig is now getting about 300-400 per week.

Notice : Emer Casey 5k race in Youghal - Thurs 4th Apr 2019

The annual Emer Casey 5k road race in Youghal in East Cork is coming up this year on Thursday the 4th of April 2019...

Usually the first evening race in Cork is in mid-April when the sun sets about 8:32pm. With the Emer Casey 5k, it will be on in the town of Youghal so the street lighting will compensate as it gets dark earlier. On the 4th of April, the sun sets around 8:15pm.
