Results of the Daniel Kingston 5k in Macroom... Thurs 21st June 2018
There was another huge turnout for this years Daniel Kingston 5k in Macroom with 590 taking part, pretty close to the number last year.
In the men's race, it was another win for Mark Walsh of Leevale AC after he won the Upper Glanmire 5k last Monday. In the women's race, Karina Murphy who won the Inniscarra 4 mile last week and took the title in Macroom this time.

Notice...Daniel Kingston Memorial 5k, Macroom - Thurs 21st June 2018
This 5k charity run is coming up in Macroom on Thursday evening the 21st of June 2018 at 8pm.
Proceeds from the event go towards Cork Cancer Support House.
You can enter on the evening for €10...registration desk open from 5:30PM. The event will be chip timed. Race HQ is at the Macroom Sports Complex which is just inside the Macroom castle gates on the left.
Please note that there is limited parking there. Follow the race stewards instructions on the night on where to park.

From the organisers.....The race starts at the beginning of the town from the Cork side by Macroom Motors. The 5 km route takes you through the town and looping through the countryside and back to town with the finish in the town centre. This is the 8th year of the race which has grown from strength to strength in the last few years. Register on the evening of the event at Macroom Sports Complex (€10).
Loads of prizes across a range of age categories. All surplus funds are donated to Cork ARC Cancer support house. Plenty of refreshments also.

Results of the Daniel Kingston Memorial 5k in Macroom...Thurs 22nd June 2017
There was a huge turnout of over 600 people for this years Daniel Kingston Memorial 5k in Macroom on Thursday the 22nd of June.Considering that it was on the same night as the Shanagarry 5 mile, that's an impressive number.

Another race and another huge turnout. An impressive 633 people took part in this years Daniel Kingston 5k in Macroom, a jump of 9.5% on last years figure of 578.

In previous years, this was part of the Cork BHAA series of races and it will be run this year as a stand alone event over the exact same course.
You can pre-enter this race for €11.50 or you can enter on the evening for €10. The event will be chip timed.
Race HQ is at the Macroom Sports Complex which is just inside the Macroom castle gates.
Please note that there is limited parking there. Follow the race stewards instructions on the night on where to park.

Results of the Daniel Kingston 5k...Thurs 26th June 2014
A large crowd of 578 took part in this charity 5k in Macroom with all proceeds going to Cork Cancer Support House. That's an impressive number of people considering the Shanagarry 5 mile in East Cork was on at the same time and would have attracted a lot of runners from Cork City.
