Lorcan O'Byrne - RIP

Tramore Valley Parkrun posted the following... "We are heartbroken to share that our dear friend and parkrun family member, Lorcan O’Byrne, has passed away.

Lorcan was a true gentleman with a kind and gentle soul. A familiar face every Saturday, he ran and volunteered most weeks — always generous with his time. He loved the people, the chats, and the coffee afterwards — his favourite part of parkrun.

Lorcan embodied what parkrun is really about — community. Though we met at parkrun, our friendship extended far beyond Saturday mornings. We shared midweek runs, enjoyed many a parkrun tourism adventure together, and we were lucky enough to witness his talents on a number of occasions - his beautiful voice as part of the St Fin Barre’s Cathedral Choir.

Lorcan was our friend and our comrade. We will miss him dearly.

Rest in peace Lorcan 🕊. "
