Cork sprinter Phil Healy sets new 200m national record


Top Cork sprinter Phil Healy set a new national record when she ran 22.99 seconds in the 200mat the Cork City Sports last night. The 23 year old Balndon AC athlete from Ballineen recently broke the Irish 100m record.

There is a new batch of young up and coming sprinters who may yet challenge this new record in time. 15 year old Rhasidar Adeleke recently ran 23.52 while 19 year old Gina Akpe-Moses ran 23.86 back in June.
