A total of 377 runners turned out for this years Cloyne 5k road race on Tuesday the 1st of August 2017, almost identical to the 375 of 2016.

| A One-Two for East Cork AC. Kevin O'Leary (L) was in 3rd spot with 600m to go. He closed the 20m gap and managed to finish 2nd. Michael Harty (R) was the clear winner of the race and was well ahead of the field. |

Take a bow Cloyne. Super event last night. Highly organised with so many volunteers. The home baking was also out of this world! Sincere thanks to all.
What a great event, it's right up there as the best I have done in Cork. Everything you could ask for in an event. Ample parking, registration, amazing spread and more importantly a fantastic course well marshalled.
