Thursday 9th May 2012...

4:45pm.......Olympics......Katie Taylor goes for Gold in boxing
8:00pm.......Shanagarry 5k......Low key 5k road race in Shanagarry near Ballycotton in East Cork. €3 entry fee.
8:00pm......Olympics.....Mens 800m final including the great Kenyan runner David Rudisha.
8:55pm......Olympics.....Mens 200m final.....Usain Bolt V Yohan Blake V the rest. There may well be a new Olympic record in this one.

Friday 10th May 2012......

7:21pm......Olympics......The Irish womens team go in the second heat of the 4 x 400m relay
7:30pm.....GR8KM road race in Mitchelstown in NE Cork. 9th race in the Ballyhoura Active Series...Preview to follow
8:40pm......Olympics......Womens 4 x 100m relay final

Saturday 11th May 2012.....

9:00am......Olympics.....50 km race walk......Rob Heffernan goes in this with an outside chance of a podium finish. Also on the Irish 50k team are Colin Griffin and Brendan Boyce.
5:00pm.....Olympics...20 km race walk.......Olive Loughnane and Laura Reynolds.
7:20pm.....Olympics....Mens Javelin......including Julius Yego from Kenya who coached himself after watching video clips on YouTube!
7:30pm.....Olympics......Mens 5,000m final......Will Mo Farah make it a 5k/10k double?
9:00pm.....Olympics......Mens 4 x 100m relay final......Bolt and Jamaica go for Gold.

Sunday 12th May 2012........

11:00am.......Olympics.......Mens Marathon.....Mark Kenneally goes in this.
7:00pm.......The John Hartnett 10k road race will take place in Ballyhooly near Fermoy. Flat fast course. €10 entry. Details to follow...
