Windy Gap Trail Half Marathon in Kenmare - Sun 25th May - CANCELLED...
This Half-Marathon was due to take place next Sunday on the Old Kenmare Road near Kenmare, Co.Kerry. The event was going to be partly country roads and partly off-road on trails. It looks like this event has now been cancelled. The Cork Triathlon Club issued the following statement...."Cork Triathlon club regrets to announce that the 'Windy gap' trail half marathon, Kenmare, Co Kerry planned for 25/5/2008 has been cancelled. All entries will be refunded"

"I really wonder who thought that putting on that race one week before the Cork City marathon was a good idea in the first place. I would have been very interested in running this one had it been on even one week earlier (or 3 weeks later), and I'm sure I was not the only one who did not sign up because of Cork....Thomas"

Results of the Jack & Jill Charity 10km walk/run - Sat 12th Apr 2008

It took ages for these results to make an appearance but they are now finally up. It would seem that they got about 200 entrants for this hilly charity 10 km race/walk near Kenmare. The full results can be see HERE.
