Event notice...CIT Evening Cross Country race - Fri 6th Dec 2013

Most of the cross country races on the calendar are inter club only and are not open to non-club runners. For this unique event on the CIT grounds on Friday evening the 6th of December, anyone can take part.

As you can see on the photo above, the course is around the perimeter of various GAA pitches and everything is floodlit. The surface as you would imagine is very short grass so it's not the usual type of cross country race with hills and mud. As such, people do not need spikes or any type of special shoes to take part and you can wear your usual runners if you want to.

The race starts at 7pm on Friday 6th of December around the CIT GAA pitches.

5k for the men and 3k for women.

Entry fee of €5 with proceeds to Make a wish Foundation and CIT AC.

Registration will take pace upstairs in the main GAA stand, on the side furthest away from the college.

Refreshments provided afterwards.
