Results of the 5k parkruns around the county on Saturday 5th Oct 2024. Approximately 507 runners and walkers took part in the 8 events in Co Cork.
Report... With an orange weather warning in place for rainfall, numbers were well down this week. The 5k parkruns in both Mallow and Youghal were cancelled and it looks as if a lot of people opted to skip their local event in case it was cancelled.
The orange weather warning was in place for all of county Cork although in reality, the rain was only in western half of the county at 9:30am.
Tramore Valley Park... Well done to Niamh Cronin who completed her 100th 5k parkrun! Niamh has done 80 in Ballincollig, 10 at Tramore Valley Park and the balance across a variety of 7 events. Niamh's first 5k parkrun was in Ballincolig back on the 11th of May 20219.
If I missed anyone who passed a notable milestone like 100, 200, 250 or above parkruns then let me know.
