The village of Ardfield is located just to the south of Clonakilty in West Cork and is a lovely part of the county. The roads in general are relatively quiet and there are extensive views out over the West Cork countryside and coastline.
Next Friday the 26th of July 2019, there is a 10 km road race in the village.
The race is suitable for runners and walkers and it will be chip timed.
The village of Ardfield is just 6 kms to the south of Clonakilty...
Registration for the race is at Ardfield GAA hall and it opens at 5:30pm. The 10k costs €15 with proceeds going towards the local playground.
The races start at 7:30pm.

From the race organisers...Following on from the success of last year’s event, the Ardfield Rathbarry Playground Group are getting ready for this years Ardfield Road Run on July 26th 2019. The 10k run is on quiet scenic country roads and all levels of fitness are welcome – as the logo goes ‘Walk It, Run It, Race It’. The course starts and finishes in Ardfield village and takes in spectacular views from Inchydoney to the Galley Head adding greatly to the occasion.
The entry fee is €15 for the 10K. Post race refreshments will be served in the local GAA complex. Further details can be found on the Ardfield Rathbarry Playground Group Facebook page. A fun and challenging afternoon is guaranteed by the organisers - whatever the weather!
