Great challenging new course , but why are there no prizes for females Over 60 and 65 when there is for the male equivalent?
Each category is designed to be competitive i.e. there has to be enough runners in each category to make it competitive. There are also prizes for the F35's and none for the M35's so that it where some of the female prizes go.
Great race . Well done and thanks to all the organizers . Loved the questions for spot prizes too- we’ll done Eagle
but woukld the m35 cat not be competitive aswell?
Good race, little tougher than I thought it would be but was happy enough with my time. Course adjustment for the road works was good, stewards at all the right places, good spread after!
An M35 category would probably be very competitive but the norm for most races is to start the category prizes at M40 for men and F35 for women. There probably is a good case for M35 prizes.
i don't think any of the top 10 were over 35 cat but it would be a strong competive cat in nearly all race,much more so then ladies and mens over 65/70,maybe they should just do a over 60 cat and not any higher.i know that's not far on a 70 year old but its not a stacked cat
maybe if they put in cat over 60/70 them runners might come?anyway just because all the other runners at that age stop running,i think more of a reason to give 3 prizes to that cat,and if only 3 turn up,fair play to them,hope ill get there,from a over 40 cat
There was 3 m40,1m45 and 1m50 in the top 10.
