The race HQ is at Aghada GAA club which is near Rostellan on the Midleton-Whitegate road.

The map below shows the full marathon route. It starts near Rostellan Woods and between miles 3 and 8, it takes in a lovely stretch by East Ferry. After 10 miles, it's most out on quiet country roads with some nice coastal views from miles 14-22. For the last few miles, you are looking over the harbour.

marathon looks fair hilly
Anyone any experience of the half marathon route? Is it particularly hilly and challenging for someone who has completed a half marathon this year but mainly runs 10k than anything longer?
