This brand new event up coming up on Saturday the 20th of August 2016...and there is a choice of a full 26.2 mile marathon, a 13.1 mile half-marathon and 10km race (6.2m).
The race HQ is at Aghada GAA club which is near Rostellan on the Midleton-Whitegate road.

The map below shows the full marathon route. It starts near Rostellan Woods and between miles 3 and 8, it takes in a lovely stretch by East Ferry. After 10 miles, it's most out on quiet country roads with some nice coastal views from miles 14-22. For the last few miles, you are looking over the harbour.

ReplyDeleteAnyone any experience of the half marathon route? Is it particularly hilly and challenging for someone who has completed a half marathon this year but mainly runs 10k than anything longer?
