Catching up on news from last weekend, Ciarán Ó Lionáird from Cork set a new personal best time of 3:52.20 in the Wannamaker mile last Saturday (16th Feb) at the Millrose Games in New York.

John,you will have to correct you fastest mile list.John Hartnett(Ballyhooly)ran 3:54:07 in 1973 setting a then Irish record which was also faster than the British record.
I should have clarified...Ciarán is now 4th on the alltime indoor list.
On the combined list of indoor and outdoor, Ciarán is now 6th and John Hartnett is 12th. (3:54.7)
The weight of hair is so small that it makes a very insignificant impact on your total weight. plus I think it's great he looks different and isn't you're typical cookie cutter runner,also it's great to see him full of running
