Great route, a real good mix of flat, a few hills and some downhill. Throw in the headwind in places, and it was a real good, but fair challenge. It started bang on time, well marshalled, and the good food afterwards made it a most enjoyable morning.
Watching this race I noticed a good few headphone wearers. As it is on open roads shouldn't this be suggested against a very least ?
No big deal and very unexpected but the mile markers were all over the shop. They were a long way out unless all the garmins were faulty.
I love this course. A perfect mix of flats, hills & downhills. It is a superb race in it's own right & a great form gauge ahead of Ballycotton 10.
Any idea when the category results will be published.
Well done to Eagle...Tough race, well done.
Just because someone is wearing headphones does not mean they are listening to music. Some people use headphones to get split updates from RunKeeper. Besides this, there was nothing mentioned about not using headphones while signing on or on the website (just saying).
Well done to all involved, great course, well marshalled and top food in the hall
On headphone's, the few I saw wearing them, were slow runners and i am guessing they were new to race running and probably were not aware of the rule against headphones or, more importantly, the reason for this rule. Perhaps as some posters suggested, it should be published more widely with the reason for it.
