Notice...Lee Fields 4 mile road race - Sun 18th March 2018

Please note that the organisers have cancelled the Lee Fields 4 mile road race on Sunday the 18th of March due to the adverse weather conditions forecast.

They are planning to hold it on a future date once this can be organised.

The annual Lee Fields 4 mile road race is coming up in Cork City on Sunday the 18th of March 2018. Note the start time of 10:30am.

The 4 mile route is the same as before...County Hall...Carrigrohane Straight...Inchigaggin Lane...Model Farm Rd...Dennehy's Cross...Victoria Cross. You can see a preview of the course HERE

You can pre-enter online HERE for €10.70 and there is a free technical top for the first 200 entrants. You can also enter on the morning of the race for €15 but obviously the tech tops might be gone at that stage.

As you can see in the flyer above, the race HQ is at the Kingsley Hotel.

The Cork Local Drug & Alcohol Task Force, the Southern Regional Drug & Alcohol Task Force and the Health Service Executive have partnered to organise a 4 Mile Road Race on Sunday 18th March, headquarter at The Kingsley Hotel, Cork.

HSE Drug & Alcohol Services, Cork Local & Southern Regional Drug & Local Task Force has responsibility for developing a strategic, locally based response to substance misuse in Cork, Co. Cork and Kerry. We have drug & alcohol services located in local communities, towns and voluntary agencies throughout the region to support individuals affected by substance misuse. Drug Task Forces now have the responsibility of Alcohol added to their brief. We hope to highlight this addition of alcohol by organising this event to support the “Hello Sunday Morning” initiative.

“Hello Sunday Morning” encourages individuals to look at changing the pattern of their drinking by taking a break from alcohol & incentivising that break with goals e.g taking up running/exercise – further details

We are hoping you will support the upcoming not for profit event. Look forward to seeing you on the day.

That's a bummer - They must be expecting it to be very bad John. Icy conditions I presume or maybe even snow?
