Do Run Run event on Sherkin Island - Sat 9th Aug 2025

The Do Run Run event took place on Sherkin Island, West Cork, on Saturday 9th August 2025 and the route options included a 4k, 6k and 8k.

Proceeds from this year’s entries went to the Sherkin Island Community and The Wild Atlantic Swimming Pool in Baltimore.

West Cork Island Run Series... July & August 2018

The West Cork Islands Run Series consists of running events on islands in West Cork during the months of July and August 2018. While the first one on Bere Island is a timed event, the remainder are more of a fun run format with the aim of getting people to visit the islands.

If the weather is nice, each one would make for a stunning run.

The annual Do Run Run event on Sherkin Island in West Cork was held on Saturday the 12th of August with a small crowd of runners and walkers taking part.

This event over 4kms and 8km was for two causes...Sherkin Island Community Defibrillator Group and Irish Community Air Ambulance.

This 4km and 8km fun run/walk was held on Sherkin Island in West Cork on Saturday the 2nd of July 2016. The proceeds of this years event went to Cancer Connect, Wild Atlantic Community Swimming Pool – Baltimore and the West Cork Underwater Search & Rescue.
