The September  2025 edition of the timed Run the Line 5k was held on the last Saturday of the month and the results are shown below...

This is always a low key event and this time was no exception with just 19 finishers.

The format of the event is pretty simple, you just turn up before the event and sign a waiver form. You're given a yellow armband with a number on it and that is used instead of a race bib.

You start at 9am, run 2.5kms on the narrow greenway towards Crosshaven, go around a cone and then run back to the finish line.

The timed 5k is organised by Carrigaline AC and is completely free. It's a nice place for a run if someone wanted to try it instead of a parkrun on a Saturday morning.

The club plans to hold this on an ongoing basis on the last Saturday of every Saturday going forward.

As can be seen above, there were 16 finishers in contrast to the 39 in October.

It restarted on the 28th of Sept 2024 with a small field of 14 finishers.

This free timed 5k on the Carrigaline to Crosshaven walkway takes place on the first Saturday of every month. 

The April event was supposed to go ahead on the 6th of April 2024 but it had to be cancelled. 

It was announced during the week that the rescheduled April event would take place on the 13th but as can be seen from the low numbers, not many people saw this.
