Just a short 2 minute video clip that I came across. Some of you may remember the European Championships in Zurich last August where Rob Heffernan pulled out of the 50k race walk. The winner that day was Yohann Diniz of France who set a new world record for 50kms.
Last Sunday, the 36 year old set a new French record in the 5000m when he completed the race in 18:16...that's 5:53 min/mile pace! Just for reference, Rob Heffernan's Irish record is 18:51.
