The national novice cross country championships were held in Santry today and attracted runners from all over the country. In the mens race, teams from Cork were very much to the fore with Ben Thistlewood winning by a margin of 5 seconds. The Leevale AC athlete also helped his team take the national novice title by a margin of 2 points.
