The Guinness World Records website has announced that 69-year-old Larry Macon from Texas has broken the World Record for the highest number of marathons in a 12 month period.
In a 12-month period from December 1, 2012, to November 30, 2013, Macon ran 239 marathons to set a new world record.
This is his 4th time breaking the record having ran 105 marathons in 2008, 113 marathons in 2010 and 157 marathons in 2012.
Obviously a huge factor in completing that number of marathons is the logistics of all the traveling.
