Despite the wet conditions, there was 50 runners out for this years Knocknagree 1 mile race in North-West Cork. At the front of the race, both Tommy O'Brien and Laura Crowe were in a dead heat for first place.

Notice...Knocknagree 5k in NW Cork - Sun 4th June 2017

The Knocknagree 5k in NW Cork is coming up on Sunday the 4th of June 2017 at 1pm.

Registration is in the Knocknagree Community Centre from 12 noon. €10 per adult up to max of €20 for a family.

Results and times will be provided by Gneeveguilla AC.

This is part of the ongoing Gneeveguilla AC One Mile Series and the next race is on the 20th of July, in Ballydesmond.  Registration taken at Bob’s bar from 7.00 clock onwards.  Race starts at 8.00.

Notice...Knocknagree 5k run/walk - Sun 8th Mar 2015

Of course, the Ballycotton 10 isn't the only event on next Sunday. If you are living in north-west Cork then you might be interested in this 5k in Knocknagree.

Knocknagree is a small village on the road between Rathmore and Ballydesmond. I don't have a whole lot of info on this other than the fact that the entry fee is €10 for adults, €5 for children, €20 for families and it has an Athletics Ireland permit.
