Stan O'Neill of Rising Sun AC...RIP
Someone sent on a short note to me to say that Stan O'Neill of Rising Sun AC passed away on Thursday the 14th of January 2016.
Stan O'Neill won the Cork Junior Cross Country Championships in 1952 followed by fellow Ballineen man Dennis McCarthy. Both were scoring members of the Rising Sun AC senior team that won the Cork County Senior Cross Country Champioinships in 1956 and 1958.
