Guest Post: Waterford Half ...by Pat Walsh

 ** Waterford Half **

Good day out. Usual efficient organisation. Thanks to all involved.

Great you keep coming up with new hat Colours. Us trendy men will always have one to match an outfit 😃

When you can run 13 miles early December then you are in decent shape and there is hope for the New Year.

My own fitness is back a bit but hey who cares. I turned 60 this year and I can still run a Half Marathon.

What this is saying is find your own positives.

Be kind to yourself.

You are out there and that is important.

The watch doesn't matter.

Thanks to all who said hello and also thanks for a few hugs.

We are human, we need to connect. The best compliment sometimes is an Irish insult. 'You are some langer'. #people

I was on my own travelling to the event so I had an old Pogues commemoration trip down and back. Shane the Genius

"I sat for a while by the gap in the wall
Found a rusty tin can and an old hurley ball
Heard the cards being dealt and the rosary called
And a fiddle playing "Sean Dun Na Ngall"..
