Results of the 5k parkruns around the county on Saturday 4th Nov 2023. Approximately 842 runners and walkers took part in the 10 events in Co Cork.
Report... It was a case of dodging the showers for this weeks 5k parkruns in Co Cork. Despite the weather, it was a full house this week with all 10 5k parkruns in Cork going ahead.
Glen River.. After a two week absence due to the floods, the 5k parkrun in the Glen was back with 59 taking part. The first runner across the line was Eleanor Bradbury from the UK.
Macroom... The 5k parkrun at the Castle Demense in Macroom is the oldest parkrun in Cork and this week, it celebrated its 450th event!
Bere Island... This weeks event was somewhat unusual in that the first three finishers were all women with Michelagh Murphy leading the field.
