The Cheetah Run - Volunteers Wanted!
Eagle AC are looking for volunteers to steward and assist with the race in Fota on Thursday May 21st. A race through a wildlife park brings it's own unique problems, so, despite the fact that nearly 97% of the race is traffic free, there is a heavy requirement for stewarding. Eagle also needs people to man the finishing tunnel and steward the finish area. Can you help?
We'd be delighted if you can. Contact John Quigley at 087-6261178 or email info@eagleac.net, alternatively come to the Education Centre at Fota Wildlife Park, between 6:30 and 7pm on Thursday. Stewards will be assembling at the Eagle "Meeting Point" sign in the hall. Thanks in advance!
Eagle AC wishes to acknowledge those who have volunteered in the past. Without the assistance of volunteers, it would not be possible to organise Eagle races..........John Quigley, Eagle AC

In a time when we are seeing such big number's at road race's i would appeal to anyone who is a runner and not running this race to give John Quigley 087-6261178 a ring and offer to steward at this new race to help make it a success and to make it one for the future,I myself will be a steward at the next BHAA event in the Pfizer's 5k and the at the Cork City Marathon 2009 to give something back to all those people that give up their time week in and week out to ensure that i and you keep on running now and in the future by being so generous with their time,i'm not looking here for praise just stewards for the Fota and Cork City Marathon race's.
