Results of the Stone Mad Half-Marathon in Blarney - Sun 1st Mar 2026

The 2026 edition of the Stone Mad Half-Marathon in Blarney was held on Sun 1st March on a wet and blustery morning with 374 runners crossing the finish line. 

That's a good bit down on the 432 finishers last year so it's likely a good few people this year decided not to run 21.1kms in those conditions.

After a gap year in 2023, the Stone Mad Blarney Half-Marathon returned on Sunday 3rd Nov 2024 with 372 runners taking part.

Numbers for this half-marathon in Blarney were almost identical to last year.... 289 in 2022 and 283 in 2021. It kind of suggests that the numbers at races in 2023 might be on a par with this year i.e. no big recovery.

This was a new half-marathon on the calendar and attracted a field of 283 runners which is a reasonable turnout for its first outing. The event had a limit of 500 so it got nowhere near that number.

Update: Someone sent me a message to say they measured the course to be short at 13.06 miles (should be at least 13.1 and most likely 13.2 miles on a GPS watch). I wonder if others found the same?
