The World Indoor Athletic Championships take place next weekend in Sopot, Poland. The competition starts on Friday the 7th and concludes on Sunday the 9th of March.
A total of 5 Irish athletes will be taking part and all of them are in action on Friday. While it is highly unlikely that there will be any medals won by the Irish athletes, just getting to the final of a world championship event would be seen as an accomplishment in itself.

Athletics Ireland announce Irish team for World Indoor Championships in Poland in March
