Results of the 5k parkruns around the county on Saturday 6th September 2025. Approximately 982 runners and walkers took part in the 11 events in Co Cork.
After all the rain the previous Saturday, there was a jump in numbers this week for the parkruns in Co Cork.
Ballincollig... Thomas Murphy completed his 100th 5k parkrun of which 48 were in Cork and 52 were in Edinburgh. Well done to Noël Healy who completed his 250th 5k parkrun of which 247 were in Ballincollig.
Midleton... Jennifer Martin of Leevale AC set a new female course record this weekend at the Midleton 5k parkrun with a time of 17m 56s.
Also at the Midleton event, Donie O'Connell completed his 100th parkrun!
Well done also to Lorraine McMahon from Dublin who completed her 100th parkrun.
Tralee... A shout out to Kerry Constant who hit the 400 mark! Kerry is a familiar face at many of the races in Cork and he has completed parkruns all over the country.
Kerry did his first parkrun in July of 2013 and has completed parkruns as far away as the Netherlands and Denmark.
Bere Island... The home of the big numbers! Well done to Breeda O'Sullivan who completed her 250th 5k parkrun at the event this weekend.
