I just came across this photo of the Bushy Park 5k parkrun in London which was taken last Saturday the 30th of August 2025.
What stood out for me was the sheer number of finishers... 1812! ...and that's not even a record!
That was made possible with the help of 73 volunteers and of course, it's completely free!
Looking through the results, there's about 1500 finishers most weeks. That's some level of dedication and effort from volunteers every week for a free event.
