The plan was simple. 

The collective wisdom of the best sporting coaches of the last 50 years. 

The melodic inspiration of Sia and the Lyrics of her songs that help us move. 

The evocative descriptions of nature from the great Patrick Kavanagh that mean so much as we run the roads.

Marry them all together and I will get something special.

Crank up the laptop and get writing, this is the one.

Sports Journalist of the Year beckons. A guest spot of the RTE panel for the Olympics awaits, push over a bit there Rob and Sonia…

And then....‘Happy Hour -Two Cocktails for the price of one’ was all I could hear.

I woke from my slumber on a sun-bed in Lanzarote.

A vision in a dream was all it was. 

‘Could I revive within me her symphony and song’

Alas, The great post was never written but the aperol spritz wasn’t too bad in fairness as a consolation. 

I could claim I’m on a warm weather training camp in preparation for some major sporting occasion but my Mother told me don’t tell lies. Sun, sand, sea, some jogging, some scoops, some relaxation.

I do promise to get back to some proper posts next week.

Have a lovely weekend and I will do my best to enjoy myself.
