Very well organised race and a nice route.
BUT..no sandwiches or buns afterward!!! :(
Great race last night . Well supported and well organized . Just a word on the tunnel on the walkway . It was very dark there and one of the female runner got a nasty fall in there. Maybe a marshal with a lamp or something just to give some light . There was broken glass on that area. Just a note maybe for next year. I think the girl was ok . Other than that well done to all involved in the organization. Be back next year .
Echo the tunnels worries pretty sure I heard a bottle being kicked. But overall a fantastic event for a good cause. It's pretty fast too, might not be Cloyne or Youghal fast but not far behind. Will do again next year please God.
A great race and very well organised except when it came to the prizes. The fault was in the way they were allotted. No prize for F50 and yet the F50 was not eligible for the F45 which had a prize and clearly if you are F50 you are also F45. Can anyone explain please ? This applied in both male and female prizes.
Junior girl around 12/13 finish just in front of me (she was first in her cat) was a shame she waited a hour after race No prize I felt sorry for her.
Thx rob. She was my daughter, just turned 12 and average pace of 6.34 per mile so she got her PB. We had a pleasant evening and stopped for chips on way as a treat instead so we it ended on a positive :)
The organisers wish to thank all for their comments and all the runners and walkers who participated in the event. We will take all comments on board to hopefully improve the race again next year. We have reviewed the results and contacted 2 runners for their category prize now that the results are finalised. We will introduce a junior prize for 2018.
