Another Mega 5k in East Cork! A huge 599 took part in this years Cloyne 5k road race, a jump of 7% on last year and a new record number.

My son Cian Horgan age 12 ran the race last night in around 20 mins veru disappointed his time isn't up

Compliments to all involved in the Cloyne 5k. I must say the effort by the locals made a lovely atmosphere. It was very well supported with lots of locals lining the street to cheer us all to the finish line. The grub afterwards was scrumptious and very generous. I was blown away by the hospitality and general good feeling around for the event. Take a bow Cloyne. The most enjoyable race on the calendar, I'll be back next year (for the cakes)!!
