The Irish mens 4 x 400m relay team at the European Athletic Championships were just superb. On the Saturday, the team broke the 22 year old national record of 3m 03.73s when they ran 3:03.57 to finish third in their heat.
On Sunday, they broke the Irish record again when they finished in 5th place in the final with a time of 3:01.67...a huge improvement of almost two seconds on their previous day.
