ENTRY PROCEDURE FOR BALLYCOTTON ‘10’ ROAD RACE 2013
The following is the entry procedure for next year’s Ballycotton ’10’, to take place on Sunday March 3rd. Numbers are limited as usual but for 2013 there will a combination of postal and online entries as follows:
1) As in previous years, anyone wishing to obtain an entry form can do so by sending an SAE anytime during the month of November to: Ballycotton Running Promotions, Ballycotton, Co. Cork (don’t forget to enclose a large envelope with the correct postage).
2) All such forms applied for will be posted out on Friday November 30th, to arrive by Monday December 3rd/Tuesday December 4th. All returned postal entries (on official forms only – no photocopies) will be accepted up to and including Wednesday December 5th.
3) These will then be processed and put up on the website, hopefully in a day or two. Then, at a specific time which will be announced in advance, online entries will open and remain open until the figure of 2,500 has been reached – this will be a combination of postal and online entries.
4) After the limit has been reached, a PDF copy of the entry form will go up on the website and also in the usual shops and outlets – this is only for AAI club members and those who ran the four races in the Ballycotton Summer Series 2012. All these postal entries will be accepted up until Tuesday December 18th and for those living overseas up until Tuesday January 8th.
5) As usual, a limited number of elite entries will be available nearer the date.
So, to sum up –
(a) If you want to enter in the traditional way, send an SAE during this month of November.
(b) If you wish to enter online, check the website on December 6th.
(c) If you’re an AAI club member (or ran Summer Series) you may ignore the above two methods and just post in an entry to arrive by December 18th.

What is the web site for the online entries?
That hasn't been announced yet.
Does anyone know when this will be announced? We were told to check the website on the 6th?!
It's only 8:30am on the 6th! Plenty of the 6th still left. I know they had a huge number of entries. As soon as they are in a position to let people know, an announcement will be made.
Any chance we could get some kind of idea as to when to check back? It would save people having to vist the website frequently just to see if there's an update.
I'm sorry, I have no idea as to when it will be announced. I just know that the organisers are doing this on a voluntary basis and are likely to be a bit snowed under with entries at the moment. As soon as I hear anything, I'll update the blog, twitter feed and Facebook account.
If you posted back an entry, how will you know if its in? and if not to register online
A list of successful applicants will be put up online. As soon as that appears, I'll put up the link here.
Hi John,
Do you think the link will be up today? Or could it be tomorrow? Thanks
Info now on main page. Click on the 'Home' link top right.
Hi John, can you actually register online at 2pm today, or is it that the online registration form will be available at 2pm to download, complete & post to you?
You can enter online at 2pm today.
You can download the entry forms probably from Saturday or Sunday.

Hi, I'm completely confused! Is it still possible to enter the Ballycotton 10k? There's no online entry tab that I can see on the website, but I have downloaded an entry form. Are these still being accepted by post?!?
Yes, I can confirm that you are utterly confused. It's a 10 mile race, not a 10k ;o)
Unless you are a member of an athletics club, have completed the 2012 Ballycotton Summer Series or are living overseas then entries are closed.
Any idea when they will produce a full and final list of successful applicants (including the overseas ones)...only i've applied as an overseas applicant and really need to book my flights, if i've been successful, thanks.
