This 5 mile road race in Kilworth army camp is coming up on Friday, the 13th of July 2012 at 8pm. This is the 6th race in the ongoing Ballyhoura Active Series.
The army camp is just off the old road from Fermoy to Mitchelstown in North-East Cork and is very easy to access from the M8 motorway.
The race is organised by Grange Fermoy AC and costs €10 to enter. The course is two laps of a 2.5 mile loop on nice quiet roads with no traffic.

This is a demanding course...nice setting
What do you mean demanding Anon? It is hilly?
The course has been changed to run the opposite direction which should make it a faster course for everyone
Having run the route last year ( as a 7.30 min/miler), its not really a hilly course. Its 2 loops of 2.5 miles, however the 2nd half of the loop is a slow steady climb, and is testing enough, but nowhere near killing. Its a nice, quiet circuit, totally clear of traffic, and quite enjoyable.
