There are two road races coming up on Thursday and Friday which should be of interest...
1) Thursday 24th May 2012 @8pm.......The Ballyandreen 5 mile road race is the first race of four in the Ballycotton Summer Series. The entry fee is €5 and it speeds things up if you can have the exact amount ready. There will be yellow/black direction arrows from Cloyne and Ballycotton. Follow the stewards instructions for the off road car parks. Entries taken from 6pm and allow plenty of time to get there as facilities are limited.
More info on the course and the infamous 'Beast of Ballyandreen' ;o) HERE
2) Friday 25th May 2012 @8pm.......The Clashmore 5 mile road race is the fourth race in the ongoing Ger Wyley Sports Summer Series in West Waterford. From a Cork point of view, the race is just beyond Youghal so access is easy. Entry fee is €8. More details HERE

I remembered this morning being eaten alive by midges after Ballyandreen two years ago as it was such a warm evening.
Might be worth wearing some insect repellent?
