In a country that is deeply conservative, the Supreme Council for Religious Scholars in 2010 renewed a religious edict banning sports for women saying that it "will lead to following in the footsteps of the devil."

PE is forbidden for girls in state schools, most of the country's gyms for women were closed by the government two years ago, all of the country's officially licensed 153 sports clubs are closed to women and women are prohibited from attending sports events.
My god. This is crazy stuff.
We should boycott Saudi Arabia's main export to Ireland (oil) and run everywhere !!
