I received a phone call from John Slattery of AfricaDirect recently asking me if I would mind putting out an appeal on their behalf on the blog. The Cork based charity, which works with street children in Eastern Africa, is asking any runner doing the Cork City Marathon or Relay event to consider collecting sponsorship on their behalf.
