Results of the Ballincollig 5k parkrun... Sat 25th Feb 2017
The numbers were down a bit this week for the 5k parkrun in Ballincollig with 299 taking part. This was no doubt due to the wet weather and as the chart shows, it is still well above the average turnout at the end of 2016.
1 Brian LINEHAN 19:19 VM50-54 M1
2 Tiernan MORRISSEY 19:26 JM11-14 M2 Leevale AC
3 Martin COLLIER 19:29 VM35-39 M3
22 Mary SWEENEY 21:23 VW55-59 F1 St Finbarrs AC
24 Elaine O' DONOGHUE 21:33 VW35-39 F2
34 Louise SHEEHAN 22:28 VW40-44 F3 Ballincollig Athletic Club
The results of the 37th edition of this Ballincollig 5k parkrun can be found HERE

Just on a further note....For anyone shopping in Tesco, you'll be familiar with the Blue tokens and how money is raised for community projects and charities. One of the fundraising efforts at the moment is for a defibrillator for the parkruns. I presume it refers to the Ballincollig one?

Yes, Suzi mentioned the other week that the Ballincollig Parkrun gets to be in the blue token campaign!
hi, Suzi from Ballincollig parkrun here - Yes we've been very lucky to have been included in the 'blue token' campaign at Ballincollig Tesco, and now also from Monday 20th Feb, we're in the Mahon Point Tesco 'blue token' campaign - to raise funds for a defibrillator - thanks for the mention :-)
