It was announced recently that the 2017 Cork City Marathon will be held on a Sunday! This is something which a lot of people have asked for and should be very popular. Since it started back in 2007, it has always been on the Bank Holiday Monday.
It should also mean that overseas visitors can take part in the race in Cork and then fly home for work on a Monday.
The 2017 Cork City Marathon will be held on Sunday the 4th of June.

Alleluia. Common sense has finally won. Good stuff.
That's fantastic well done all
Great news. Fair play to the marathon committee for getting that through. Should be good for the city and the runners who don't have to go to work the next day!
