Updates...
Tues 14:14......The first batch of 1000 entries are gone. Open again at 8pm!
Tues 15:01......The registration company says the first 1000 sold out in 8 minutes.
Tues 22:19......The second batch of 1000 entries have sold out.
Wed 7:40......Remember, online entries for club, overseas & series runners open on Wed 9th Dec at 10am and stay open until midnight on Friday 11th Dec. Some people had issues with the online entry system on Tuesday when they tried to put in their date of birth. This is possibly connected to people trying to enter from their work location and perhaps a corporate firewall messed things up. If you can't enter from work then try from home.
E-mail contact.....The organisers have said that all queries at present should be sent to Jane in Primo Solutions at email below.

No problems entering this year, all done & dusted by 14:02!
Same here. well done whoever is processing
it wouldn't accept date of birth
is link working ? registration not available
Site held up well. No issues registering.
is link closed now ?
14:09 registration error !!! It was easier to get tickets for U2 ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Certain people should know better. Would athletic club members let non-club members register tonight please?
No problems registering. Went through smoothly.
Don't know if I'm in or not! Site wouldn't let me navigate past 'Place Order' (at 14:00!!!). Is there a confirmation email sent out yet?
I was online waiting at 13:57 - registration not available is what I kept getting too!! Fingers crossed I get in later!!!
It would not accept date of birth, it kept resetting bad system
Should of stayed with postal method
If it ain't broke don't fix it
First 1000 entries sold out in 8 minutes. Try again at 8pm. Last year, it was a lot easier to get in during the second batch.
I had trouble with it accepting my date of birth. I like to know what the issue was so i can try register at 8pm instead of been locked out again.
seemed to be an issue when trying to register from Corp/work computers. anyone on my office who tried to register couldn't get it to accept DOB. Will try from home iPad tonight.
I went online to enter immediately at 14:00
Entered my own details, and then clicked on "REGISTER ANOTHER PERSON", and typed in my nephew's details.
Then screen then clearly showed the digit "2" next to the Cart symbol, but showed entry fee of 15.00 + 1.05 handling fee.
The checkout screen did not show the amount it would charge to my card. It did not even ask if I was Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Debit or Credit card, etc.
Only when the Confirmation email arrived, was it clear that it had only taken one entry – for my nephew.
My bank shows that only 16.05 has been charged on my card (i.e. an entry for one person)
I emailed Primo, but they more or less just suggested that perhaps I should try entering again at 20:00.
Not good enough!!
Looks like all registrations are done - 8:06pm. Looking forward to another great
day out
Did the entries fill up at 8pm or did it not open?
Does anyone know what u need in order to register as an Athletics Ireland member?
I don't think I know of my AI reg number if it asks for that?
Why don't people just run the 4 5 milers and guarantee themselves a place if it means that much to you
You save a lot of hassle by doing the series, makes life a lot easier. People know this literally fills up quickly, I don't know what people expect.
Worked a dream for me and from my mobile too. At 13:58 I hit refresh and it let me enter my details and payment and then sent me a confirmation email. Looking forward to another great day out.
As due to work/family commitments perhaps people cannot make the 4 events. I had no hassle at 8pm. Pop an alarm on the phone and refresh. Simple, easier than running 4 other events to register for a race!!
Registered with no hassle as an AAI club member (which I am) so am pleased that registration by post is no longer mandatory for AAI members (plus the fact you get an email afterwards means that you're not left wondering if the letter got there (or if the cheque bounced!).
A step in the right direction and a welcome improvement.
Hopefully they might get a sponsor this year who might cover the cost of a second water station this year (though I'd have thought the €15 entry fee per person would surely be enough to cover it)?
I am disgusted as I am a member of a running group/club and I now discover that as its not part of Athletics Ireland I cannot avail of the entry for clubs in the Ballycotton 10. I now have to take my chances with the 200 postal entries. I have told my so called group/club that I will be leaving and joining my local proper Athletics Ireland club come January.
I think its unfair to blame your local running group/club in this case. These clubs like all AAI clubs have very dedicated people keeping their respective groups going and i think common sense should tell you if you signed up to one of these running groups its usually by signing a disclaimer and liking them on facebook, so surely you should have known that you were not AAI registered.
To the person who wrote the previous comment I would like to point out that your local running group / club brought you to the point where you now can run Ballycotton and some appreciation of that would not go astray. Hopefully you will get on well with a "Proper Athletics Club".
