An example of a race flyer from 1986...
On Wednesday the 1st of July, there is a 10k race in Dundrum in Tipperary which has been going now for 30 years. The organsers sent me an old race flyer from 1986 when things were a bit more basic than today. The top prizes back then were a Black & White portable TV and a Deep Fat Fryer! :o)

Got a few frying pans and cutlery sets back in the day! Ye,re spoilt with todays prizes!
Deep fat fryer for the first lady - I wonder how many more races she won after winning that prize !
Obvious gender discrimination with the prizes back then
