Video highlights of the 2014 Great North Run

 The Great North Run Half-Marathon was held in Newcastle in the NE of England over the weekend. With some 50,000 plus participants, it is one of the largest half-marathons in the world.

This year wasn't without controversy with some accusing Mo Farah of being paced to victory instead of there being a competitive race. Article in the Telegraph. Maybe he was paced to victory, maybe not. The fact was that he was still well ahead of the rest of the field. I don't see anything wrong with it. Media backlash against Mo is starting...

Ran it for the first time this year, really good w/end as they have the Great North Games on the quayside on Sat afternoon.

Support & organisation are top notch although with the huge crowds not a place to go to chase a half-marathon pb through!

As obvious as the nose on your face. Mo was spent at finish and runner up had plenty in the tank.

Ya reckon if Kigan wanted to drop the hammer and kill him off at 11-12 miles he could have easily done, looks like he was holding back so Mo didnt lose ground on him.
Good race all the same, doesnt really bother me if he was there to pace him
