Results & Photos of the Cork BHAA John Buckley Sports 5k - Tues 21st May 2019

There were big numbers out in force for this years John Buckley Sports 5k in Cork City with 958 taking part. As can be seen from the chart above, that is the third year in a row that the numbers have increased.

One of the unique things about the numbers are just how many fast runners there were. A total of 221 finished under 20 minutes which is pretty amazing.

20% Discount Vouchers......As per last year, John Buckley Sports will give a 20% discount to all finishers in the race. Just hang on to your race number and present it in the shop to avail of the 20% discount. It will apply to any purchases in their shop which is across from the Opera House in the heart of Cork City. Needless to say, the amount you save with the discount may well exceed the race entry so they are well worth getting. Note that the discount is not restricted to just one item. When you are using it, you can buy several products at the one time and get 20% off the lot. There is also no expiry date on the race number discount so you can use it anytime.

  4. A great race and very enjoyable. I loved the new route! My only gripe would be that I thought it was chip timed? The times shown on results are the times we crossed the finish Line....I finished over a minute faster than my published result. I tried to respect race etiquette by placing myself further down the field of runners and so Icross the start line later than the first runner.

  6. the results don't seem to capture some runners who were on Temp Reg's. The top Five men's is incorrect.
