Ballymore Cobh AC at launch of Great Island 10...


 

At the recent launch of the Great Island 10 mile road race, one of the clubs in attendance was Ballymore Cobh AC. This is of course the former club of Sonia O'Sullivan and is one of the smaller clubs in the Cork area. The registration figures for the end of 2013 show that they have a membership of 49 juveniles and 19 adults.

The Great Island 10 mile road race is coming up on Sunday the 13th of April and all proceeds are in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Online entries are now open and you can find full details about the race in this previous post.

    Wonderful occasion I'm looking forward to it.
    .
    Would the Park Run 5kms timed run work for us every Saturday at 9. 30 on the island? There is a set up fee involved but after that it is free for all participants. There are 3 requisites .1 a safe free course.2 volunteers and 3 an event manager.
