Great race, challenging course. Lovely hospitality after
ReplyDeleteVery enjoyable race. Plenty parking, marshals, food, water. Results and photos up fast.
ReplyDeleteThose hills and start and finish are a nice tester!
Oh, and nice aul touch for Sonia to start the race and give encouragement to runners around the course on her bike.
great day, fantastic organization and great food at the end! a couple of tips for next year: more toilets at the start and stricter traffic control (lots of cars in the way at the end)
ReplyDeleteI have done this race for the past 2 year's and it is brilliant. I don't understand why it is so poorly attended compared to similar races.
ReplyDeleteTough hills so am glad this was not advertised as fast and flat. Great weather and the event was well organised. Well done and thanks to everyone involved in providing runners with a race midweek. Good cause, so glad to see a good turnout.
ReplyDeleteIn fairness, 236 is not 'poorly attended'.
ReplyDeleteGreat race, good cause. I think not ideal timing of a 5K race for those doing either the Cork or Dingle races this weekend would be a factor, plus 7pm start can catch a few as well. Agree 236 is not poorly attended. it would have a been a huge crowd a few years back.
