Fionnuala Britton goes through to the final of the womens 3000m after finishing comfortably 3rd in her heat...

Amy Foster equals her personal best time of 7.33 seconds in the second heat of the womens 60m sprint. She goes through to the semi-finals as one of the four fastest finishers (outside the first 4 in each of the 3 heats)...

Rose-Anne Galligan goes out in the first semi-final of the womens 800m after finishing 5th. In what was a very fast paced race, Rose-Anne just fell off the back of the main pack with 200m to go yet still managed to hang on to set a personal best time of 2:02.84

Ciara Everard was in the second semi-final of the womens 800m. In a photo finish for third place, Ciara just managed to get through to the final on Sunday.

In the mens 400m semi-final, Brian Gregan went out at the 200m mark after getting caught in a collision....
