Ciara Mageean runs new 5k parkrun record of 15m 13s


Top Irish international athlete Ciara Mageean took part in her very first 5k parkrun on Saturday 23rd Dec 2023 and promptly set a new world record time for a woman! 

Ciara's time at the Belfast Victoria event was 15 mins 13 secs which is about 3:03/km or 4:54/mile pace.

    And Isabella Buchanan runs a new world U13 best of 16:37 on 16th December at Hastings beating Emer McKee's (Willowfield) 2021 record.
